Rahul Gandhi says ‘fake voters’ created to propel BJP to victory

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is the current opposition leader in Lok Sabha, on Thursday shocked India, claiming that over one million fake voters were created in a single constituency in Bangalore in order to secure a win for the ruling Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The seat in question is of Mahadevapura – one of the 224 of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly — that falls under the Bangalore Central Lok Sabha constituency.

Briefing the media at the Indian National Congress (INC) headquarters, Rahul said his party won six out of even legislative assembly seats. However, the fake votes helped the BJP grab Mahadevapura, with a winning margin of 114,046 votes, he added.

“This seat significantly contributed to their [Lok Sabha constituency] election win,” Rahul told reporters, as he explained the revelations were a result of a six-month-long investigation.

Duplicate voters, fake and invalid addresses, bulk voters at a single address, invalid photos, and the misuse of Form 6 were the five different ways the voter fraud was committed, he explained.

RAHUL MIRACLE

It was Rahul who made the impossible nearly possible, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was eyeing a two-thirds majority, with an ultimate goal of changing the secular nature of Indian constitution and make India a Hindu nationalist state.

Although the opposition alliance INDIA could not win the elections, Modi’s BJP was forced to form a coalition government.

So instead of ruling India like a king, Modi is now at the mercy of two coalition partners — Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh and the Bihar-famed Nitish Kumar.

It also explains why Modi is so desperate to get favourable results in the Bihar elections to be held in October or November this year. Any success of the Congress-led alliance could later lead to the downfall of Modi.

WHY THIS INVESTIGATION

According to Rahul, the Congress’s internal survey had predicted a win in 16 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka. But the victory in only nine seats made the party to do a deep dive into one of the seven “unexpected” losses and focussed on the Bangalore Central seat.

He said the constitutional principle of ‘one man, one vote’ was being destroyed, and warned poll officials of the consequences of their actions.

CRIME AGAINST INDIAN CONSTITUTION

Obviously, the voter fraud couldn’t have happen without the involvement of Election Commission of India (ECI).

That’s why he said while addressing the ECI.

“You are not in the business of destroying Indian democracy; you are in the business of protecting it. This is a crime that is being committed against the Indian Constitution, against the Indian flag.”

2024 ELECTIONS WERE RIGGED

Using the example, Rahul repeated his stance that “the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were rigged” and that Modi “needed to steal only 25 seats to remain in power in 2024”.

“The judiciary needs to get involved in this because the democracy that we love so much does not exist.”

“I want the nation to know that there is a huge criminal fraud being perpetrated on this country. It is being done by the Election Commission and the party in power and we have given you undoubtable proof,” he said.

He went on to say, “If the Election Commission now does not give us electronic voter data of the last 10 to 15 years, and if it does not share the CCTV footage, they are partaking in the crime.”
