China hit by 5.9 earthquake

Earthquake of magnitude 5.9 has struck china’s Xinjiang region on Sunday morning.

The earthquake hit Aheqi County in Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of Kizilsu in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, according to China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), GFZ said.
