Jab We Met sequel

Web Desk: Indian filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has denied rumours of creating a sequel to one of Bollywood’s most loved movies, ‘Jab We Met.’

Imtiaz Ali firmly stated, “No, it’s not happening,” during an interview with an Indian news media outlet, refuting recent news reports suggesting that he is in the process of making a sequel.

“I don’t have a story for Jab We Met 2 yet. I’ve heard of these and read these reports and articles. Nobody asked me before publishing them, so I don’t know what to say. But let’s see what happens,” he added

The romantic comedy was released in 2007 and was both written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. Produced by Dhilin Mehta under his banner Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision, the movie featured a star-studded cast, including Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, and Dara Singh, among other talented actors.

The speculations of the sequel started earlier this year in June when a fan asked Shahid Kapoor on’X’, “I’ve noticed that you and Imtiaz Ali have been interacting a lot recently! Is there any project in the works?” to which, Shahid said, “Smart Boy,” led many to speculate whether he will be collaborating with Imtiaz Ali on a film after 16 years.
