ISLAMABAD: Apple iPhone prices have risen in Pakistan, with both local markets and online shopping websites adjusting the prices of the iPhone 15 series upwards.
This adjustment was anticipated, given the recent increase in prices across other smartphone brands. For instance, Samsung smartphones have also seen a notable price hike in the past few days.
Although there is no official Apple store in Pakistan, several companies offer PTA-approved iPhone 15 models, in contrast to the non-PTA versions available in local markets.
According to a popular Pakistani website that specialises in PTA-approved iPhones, the iPhone 15 Pro Max (256 GB) is now listed at Rs481,500, up from Rs476,500 just a week ago. The iPhone 15 Pro Max (512 GB) has risen to Rs576,000 from its previous price of Rs570,000.
The base variant, iPhone 15 (128 GB), is now available for Rs327,500, an increase from Rs323,900, while the iPhone 15 (256 GB) variant is priced at Rs365,500, up from Rs361,500.
It is important to note that most iPhones sold by Pakistani websites, such as Mercantile, support one physical SIM and one eSIM, whereas Hong Kong and Chinese models offer dual physical SIM options.
Additionally, iPhone 15 models from Hong Kong are slightly more expensive than their Pakistani counterparts. The recent increase in smartphone prices has made the iPhone 15 series nearly unaffordable for the average consumer.
