Hyped up for GTA 6? You might wanna keep your engines idle

WEB DESK: Speculation is mounting over a potential delay to Rockstar Games’ eagerly awaited sixth iteration of “Grand Theft Auto”, known more famously as GTA 6.

As per reports, the release could be pushed from its current scheduled date of May 2026 to later in the year, possibly September.

An ‘industry insider’ using the name ‘Millie A’ revealed the possibility of the postponement on social media platform X (Twitter). The user cited ‘ongoing’ internal discussions at Rockstar.

The game developer itself revealed nothing regarding the alleged delay.

In the land of doctors and engineers only, gaming industry has seen a hard time breaking into mainstream. However, it has seen specific gaming communities prop up in several urban centres, most famous of which is the Tekken scene in Lahore.

The most famous form of gaming is smartphone-based, with the country of 240 million expected to see nearly 45 million active gamers by end of 2025.

However, a dedicated community of PC and console gamers also exist, who eagerly await the release of GTA 6.
