WEB DESK: In a momentous clash, the Pakistani cricket team secured a historic victory against Sri Lanka in the eighth match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, setting multiple records.

Notably, Pakistan achieved a unique distinction by becoming the first nation to win eight consecutive World Cup matches against Sri Lanka, outshining India’s record of seven consecutive victories over Pakistan. Following closely is the West Indies, securing the third spot with six consecutive wins against Zimbabwe.

Furthermore, the encounter between Pakistan and Sri Lanka also etched a new chapter in World Cup history, witnessing the highest number of centuries in a one-day match.
