PAK vs WI: Pakistan wins the toss, choose to bat against West Indies

LAUDERHILL: Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat in the second T20 International (T20I) match against the West Indies (PAK vs WI) at the Central Broward Park and Browed County Stadium on Sunday.

The match is part of Pakistan’s ongoing three-match T20I series against the West Indies being held in the United States.

Pakistan leads the series 1-0 following a 14-run victory in the opening game

The T20I series is a preclude to the upcoming one-day international (ODI) series, scheduled to be played in Trinidad and Tobago.

Pakistani Squad

Pakistan’s lineup features a blend of young talent with seasoned players. Saim Ayub was the man of the match in the first match with a match-defining 57 runs and two wickets.

The squad also consists of openers Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Haris, alongside frontline bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali.

The rest of squad is composed of Hasan Naaz, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Sufyan Muqeem, Sahidzada Farhan, and captain Salman Agha.

West Indies squad

The West Indies squad is captained by Shai Hope. It boasts some experienced all-rounders such as Jason Holder and Roston Chase.

The batting lineup includes Alick Athanaze and wicketkeeper-batter Jewel Andrew as main batters.

The bowling lineup features prominent bowlers Gudkesh Motie and Akeal Hosein.

Romario Shepherd, Shamar Joseph, Keacy Carty, and Sherfane Rutherford make up rest of the squad.
