Muhammad Rizwan made T20 vice-captain

​ISLAMABAD: Wicketkeeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan has been named Pakistan’s new vice captain in T20 internationals.

Muhammad Rizwan will assume his responsibilities in the upcoming series against New Zealand. The first match will begin in Auckland on January 12.

The 31-year-old Muhammad Ramzan also captains Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League.

The team’s leadership has already undergone changes with Shaheen Shah Afridi taking over the captaincy of the T20 side.

Meanwhile, Shan Masood has taken over the captaincy of the test team.

The upheavel began in the aftermath of Pakistan’s disappointing World Cup campaign which led to Babar Azam stepping down from the captaincy from all formats.

Meanwhile, the first T20 match between Pakistan and New Zealand will be scheduled to be played on January 12 in Auckland, New Zealand.

Earlier today, the cricket team of Pakistan reached Auckland from Sydney, Australia, for a T20 international series against New Zealand.
