ICC World Cup: Pakistan cricket team leaves for India


LAHORE: The Pakistan cricket squad has set off for India to compete in the ICC World Cup 2023.

As per sources, on Wednesday night, the Pakistani cricket team departed from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport for Dubai. The team will have a stay of approximately nine hours in Dubai before continuing their journey to Hyderabad, India.

Earlier on Thursday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and members of the men’s cricket team have reached an agreement to resolve their recent dispute over central contracts for cricketers.

The media reports indicated that the PCB has yet to make an official announcement, however, it has been revealed that disagreements arose between the players and the board regarding certain provisions in their central contracts.

As per the reports, the dispute has now been amicably settled through mutual understanding. Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq is reported to have played a pivotal role in facilitating the resolution.
