LONDON: The England cricketing body has confirmed the date for their white-ball matches against Asalanka-led men in Sri Lank, AFP Reported on Wednesday.

England announced today that all their matches will be played in January and February 2026 against the Asian team which will serve as part of their preparations for the 2026 T20I World Cup.

Harry Brook’s men will play the first of three One-Day Internationals (ODI) on January 22 — two weeks after the scheduled fifth day of the fifth Ashes Test in Sydney, a match in which the multi-format batsman, now England’s white-ball captain, is set to feature.

The ODI series in Sri Lanka ends on January 27 with a three-game T20I campaign, to be played between January 30 and February 3.

However, Sri Lanka cricketing body, who will host these matches, has yet to confirm the playing venues for all their games against England.

It is scheduled to be jointly hosted by Board of Control for Cricket in India and Sri Lanka Cricket from February to March 2026.

The Men’s T20I World Cup will be the 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
