Woman shot dead at bus stand

LAHORE: Unidentified suspect shot and killed a woman on Wednesday at a bus stop in Lahore, according to the police.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Garden Town police station.

The victim, identified as Urooj Fatima, aged 40, was waiting at the Marian bus stop when the assailant fired four shots, causing critical injuries. She was quickly rushed to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her wounds. Her body was subsequently moved to a mortuary for necessary medico-legal procedures.

Two suspects arrested for alleged rape, murder of housemaid

The police have been diligently collecting evidence with the assistance of forensic experts and are conducting a thorough investigation from various angles. They stated, “More details will emerge as the investigations progress.”

In a bid to identify the perpetrator, the authorities are obtaining footage from CCTV cameras installed at the crime scene, which will aid in shedding light on this tragic incident.
