PM Kakar condemns North Waziristan blast

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar strongly condemned the blast in North Waziristan.

According to sources, PM Kakar conveyed his profound sorrow and regret over the tragic loss of lives in the blast.

He also extended heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims.

“I extend my deep condolences to the families of the victims. The attack on the poor workers is extremely tragic,” PM Kakar added.

The interim premier said that terrorism elements pose a threat to menace and restated the unwavering commitment to dealing with them without any leniency.

Blast in North Waziristan killed at least five people

On Saturday, a blast on Shawal Tehsil of North Waziristan killed at least five people all of whom were identified as daily wage labourers.

The cause of the explosion was yet to be determined.

Furthermore, three individuals were missing, and the condition of two other labourers was reported to be critical.

Meanwhile, the vehicle was carrying a total of 16 labourers. Following the blast, the injured victims and the bodies of the deceased were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
