Mir Ali Mardan Domki ‘nominated’ as Balochistan interim CM

QUETTA: Mir Ali Mardan Domki has been nominated as the caretaker chief minister of Balochistan.
According to sources, former Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal and Domki met with Interim Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the caretaker premier, along with Senator Sarfraz Bugti engaged with Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday for discussions regarding the selection of interim CM for Balochistan, as reported by the sources.

Earlier, a consultation was also held between Balochistan CM Mir Quddus Bizenjo and opposition leader Malik Sikandar but a definitive decision on the appointment of Balochistan’s interim CM was not be reached.
Who is Mir Ali Mardan Domki?
Born on October 13, 1972, Mir Ali Mardan Domki comes from the Lahri region in Balochistan. He is the son of former senator Mir Hazor Baksh Domki, who served as sentor from 1975 to 1977.
Domki earned his Master’s degree in Sociology from Allama Iqbal University in Islamabad. He has also held positions as Tehsil Nazim of Lahri and District Nazim of Sabi.
Ali Mardan’s brother, Dostin Domki, has been a Member of the Balochistan Assembly and a State Minister.
