Hearing of £190 million reference case against Imran Khan held in Adiala Jail

RAWALPINDI: An Accountability Court in Rawalpindi, presided over by Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich, heard the £190 million reference in Adiala jail, against former chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi.

During the hearing, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) completed the cross-examination of two witnesses and began the preliminary cross-examination of two additional witnesses. Former premier Imran Khan and former first lady Bushra Bibi were presented in the courtroom from jail.

Bushra Bibi submitted a request for a medical examination, which was approved by the court. The Jail Superintendent was directed to conduct her medical examination.

Representing the NAB were Prosecutors Chaudhary Nazar, Irfan Bhola, and Sohail Arif. The defence team for the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi included lawyers Usman Gul, Zaheer Abbas Chaudhary, and others.

After the proceedings, the hearing of the £190 million reference was adjourned until July 2.
