Caretaker cabinet to take oath today

ISLAMABAD: The cabinet of the caretaker prime minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar is expected to be sworn in today at 5pm, following the official announcement of selected members.
After concluding consultations on Wednesday, the caretaker premier has reportedly chosen key individuals for prominent positions within the caretaker setup.
Gohar Ejaz has been nominated for the role of Commerce and Industries Minister, while Dr Tabish is slated to take on the position of Energy Minister. Aneeq Ahmad and Dr Umar Saif are also anticipated to be appointed as interim ministers, according to sources.
Additional proposed cabinet members include Sarfraz Bugti, Muhammad Ali, Jalil Abbas Jilani, and Sultan Ali Allana.
Sultan Ali Allana, a distinguished banker who currently holds the position of Habib Bank chairman and is a director at the Aga Khan Fund for Development, had been initially chosen for the finance ministry. However, complications arose when his dual nationality status was revealed.
The formation of the caretaker cabinet is a significant step in addressing the nation’s challenges and ensuring stability during this transitional period.
