Gandapur arrest warrants

ISLAMABAD: A District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

The warrants have been issued in connection with an illegal arms and liquor recovery case. Judicial Magistrate Mubasher Hussain Zaidi, who is presiding over the case registered at Bara Kahu police station, issued the warrant after Gandapur repeatedly failed to appear in court despite multiple summonses.

This comes soon after Gandapur has entered Islamabad, leading a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally towards D-Chowk.

The court has ordered that Gandapur be arrested and brought before the court for the next hearing, scheduled for October 12. The case has now been adjourned until then.
