Faisalabad: ‘wrong injection’ claims life of one-month-old child, doctor held

FAISALABAD: In Faisalabad, police have arrested a doctor who administered a wrongful injection to a one-month-old child, leading to the tragic loss of the infant’s life during a circumcision procedure.

Details reveal that Nazia, wife of Shahnawaz from Chak No 232 Baway Wala, Faisalabad, brought her one-month-old son, Hussain Ali, to the clinic of Dr Abdul Ghaffar on Street 8, Muzaffar Colony, for circumcision. Regrettably, the doctor mistakenly administered the wrong injection, resulting in a deterioration of the infant’s health.

In response to the critical condition, Shahnawaz rushed the child to Children’s Hospital, where medical professionals confirmed the tragic passing of the infant.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Samanabad took prompt action by apprehending Dr Abdul Ghaffar. A case has been registered, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
