Women empowerment: SP Binaish Fatima honored with IACP 2024 Award

LAHORE: In a significant milestone for Pakistan, SP Binaish Fatima has been awarded the prestigious International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 2024 Award, recognizing her leadership in law enforcement.

According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, SP Binaish Fatima, who is currently serving as the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Rawalpindi, is the only female officer from Pakistan to receive this honor. She also is the first woman CTO of Rawalpindi and the third woman to assume the CTO position in Punjab. Previously, she served as SP CIA. The award was presented to her in a ceremony held in Boston, USA.

Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated SP Binaish Fatima on her remarkable achievement. The spokesperson added that 40 police officers from across the globe were selected for their exceptional contributions to law enforcement and leadership.

SP Binaish Fatima’s achievement comes as Punjab continues to make strides in promoting female leadership in its police force. Ammara Athar currently serves as CTO Lahore, while Aisha Butt holds the CTO position in Gujranwala.

Her recognition at the international level is a proud moment for Pakistan and a testament to the increasing role of women in leadership positions within the police force.
