Weather Update: Rainfall reported in Islamabad, parts of KP


Residents across the country should be on high alert as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted heavy rains throughout Wednesday, raising the risk of flash floods, urban flooding and landslides across several cities.

ISLAMABAD: Rainfall has been reported in different areas of Pakistan including Islamabad, Rawalpindi and its surrounding regions. A slight drizzle has also been reported in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) including Bannu and Nowshera.

Considerable rainfall has been reported in Chitral, KP and its surrounding areas. Meanwhile, light snowfall has also been observed in the upper areas of Chitral, blanketing mountain tops in a thin coat of snow.
