RAWALPINDI: The top leadership of the Pakistan Armed Forces has warned that no malicious interest, political or otherwise, will be allowed to undermine the country’s unity, security, or stability, Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR)said on Wednesday.
The statement came during the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC), presided over by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ), here.
The forum reviewed the current security situation, both internal and external, with a focus on emerging threats and operational preparedness. It reaffirmed that terrorists, including those sponsored by foreign powers along with their facilitators, would be dealt with decisively, without exception.
Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir highlighted the unwavering professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces and praised their effective conduct in intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across the country. He said that the steadfast support of the people, combined with government and military efforts, is helping Pakistan move toward stability, respect, and progress.
The conference also rejected any attempt to link terrorism with crime or political agendas. “No one will be allowed to create divisions between the Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan,” the forum said.
Additionally, the meeting appreciated Balochistan Special Development Initiatives aimed at local empowerment and public engagement, noting the importance of similar projects nationwide to ensure long-term peace and stability, ISPR said.
On international matters, the forum reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and its principled stance on the Palestine issue, calling for immediate ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian access, and a credible pathway to Palestinian statehood.
Concluding the conference, Chief of the Defence Forces Asim Munir directed commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, fitness, and technological innovation, emphasising the Army’s ability to counter all threats—from conventional to hybrid—while safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
