Tahir Ashrafi urges Israeli product boycott

LAHORE: Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi  has called for a boycott of Israeli products, during an address at the Palestine Solidarity Seminar held in Lahore.

According to sources, Ashrafi emphasised the need for a united front against the injustices faced by the Palestinian people, urging attendees to actively reject Israeli goods as a symbolic gesture of support.

During his speech, he called upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to play its role and advocated for Pakistan to assert its influence commensurate with its standing.

Furthermore, Ashrafi underscored that Israel is presently engaged in what he termed the “biggest atrocities in its history.” He stressed the need for immediate and collective action to address the longstanding Palestinian issue.

“We welcome any initiative aimed at uniting the Ummah,” declared Tahir Ashrafi, underscoring the urgency of addressing the ongoing crisis. He also urged the caretaker Prime Minister Kakar to actively participate in the “Youm-e-Tufan-e-Aqsa” (Al-Aqsa Solidarity Day) on Friday.
