Rain, snowfall in mountains turns weather chilly in Chitral

CHITRAL: Winter has made a comeback in Chitral and its surroundings after a spell of light rain and snowfall in the mountains since morning.

The rain in Chitral, which began in the morning, brought a much-needed drop in temperatures across the region.

Following the rain, people have started wearing warm clothes again.

However, alongside the relief, the rain also posed challenges for the mountainous terrain. Reports of minor landslides and rockfalls on several roads surfaced, prompting caution among commuters and authorities alike.

The Chitral administration swiftly responded, initiating measures to clear the affected routes and ensure the safety of travelers.

Due to the rainfall and cold, the price of wood has also increased and 40 kilo of wood is being sold at Rs 850.

According to weather forecasters, there is a possibility of rain to continue for the next two days.
