Qazi Faez Isa sworn in as the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Justice Qazi Faez Isa has sworn in as the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan. President Arif Alvi too oath from the newly appointed chief justice at President’s House.

Interim Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir also attended the oath taking ceremony.

Chief Justice Isa was appointed as a Supreme Court Justice on September 5, 2014. He will serve as the chief justice until Oct 25, 2024.

The chief justice Isa was born on October 26, 1959 in Quetta. He has also served as the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court.

He is the son of the foremost leader of Tehreek-e-Pakistan, Qazi Muhammad Isa, and grandson of the prime minister of Qalat before the formation of Pakistan, Qazi Jalaluddin.
