LAHORE: In anticipation of the bustling Eid shopping rush as the Ramazan almost coming to an end, Punjab Police has devised a special security plan for the safety of the citizens.

According to the security plan, over 2,000 Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras would be installed throughout the busy market places of the province.

As part of the Punjab police security plan, in Lahore alone, approximately 400 CCTV cameras have been strategically placed within markets and commercial hubs, enhancing surveillance capabilities and ensuring the safety of the citizens during Eid shopping.

To ensure a peaceful environment for citizens, additional personnel have been stationed around major markets, and traffic police have restricted heavy traffic and public transport from accessing roads leading to shopping hubs.
