Public employees ordered to end encroachments on government houses


Notices were issued on Wednesday instructing public employees residing in government housing to end encroachments.

ISLAMABAD: Public employees allotted government housing were issued notices on Wednesday warning them to end encroachments.

The public employees were given a one-month timeframe. The notice specified that failure to comply would result in the cancellation of their housing allotment.

Public employees utilising government housing for commercial purposes were also served notices. The action aims to curb any misuse of government property and ensure that residences are solely utilised for their designated purposes.

Similarly, notices were handed to public employees who were renting out government houses allotted to them. The notice stated that rules and regulations governing the usage of such public properties should be adhered to.

A recent survey conducted in Islamabad revealed encroachments in more than 10,000 out of the 17,000 government residences inspected.
