PSX closes 200 points above opening level

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) wrapped up last week on a downward trend, with the benchmark KSE-100 index shedding nearly 250 points on Friday.

On Monday, the index closed at 74 points gain at 64,890.50 points. On Tuesday (yesterday), the index showed fluctuations but remained bullish for the most part, closing more than 600 points above opening level.

Stock market continues positive momentum from yesterday

Today (Wednesday), the gains were slow but the benchmark KSE-100 index still managed to close in green.

The index opened at 65,502.59 points, and closed at 65,731.79 points showing a net increase of 229.20 points.

Multiple segments traded in green with fewer companies seen in red. Overall, the index showed some fluctuations but remained relatively stable.
