LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has announced fares for booking luxury salons, according to a railway spokesperson.
According to the announcement, the fare for the Prime Minister Salon has been fixed at Rs 600,000 from Karachi to Lahore, while the fare from Islamabad to Lahore will be Rs 150,000.
On the other hand, the fare for other salons has been fixed at Rs 400,000 from Karachi to Lahore and Rs 100,000 from Islamabad to Lahore.
According to the spokesperson, these luxury salons fares are for travel with full booking and special facilities.

According to railway officials, the luxury salons have modern facilities, privacy and comfortable travel.
Earlier, Pakistan Railways opened its luxury saloon coaches, once reserved for top government officials, for public booking.
The move came on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directive. It aims to offer premium travel options to regular passengers while making better use of available railway resources.
Five luxury saloons, once reserved for the prime minister, federal ministers, and top Pakistan Railways officials—including the Chairman, CEO, and IG—are now open for public booking.
These saloons will be available on key intercity routes like Karachi–Lahore, Lahore–Karachi, Islamabad–Lahore, and Lahore–Islamabad.
According to officials, this is part of broader reforms to modernise rail services, boost passenger satisfaction, and generate non-fare revenue by making better use of railway assets.
