One killed, two injured in firing near ATC Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: One person has been killed and two wounded in a firing incident near Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi on Wednesday morning.

According to police sources, one person identified as Danial Kayani was killed and two others were injured in firing between two groups near ATC Rawalpindi.

As per details, the accused left the scene after the shooting spree.

Police have started investigations into the incident and have recovered some weapons from the crime scene.

The injured and the deceased have been shifted to a nearby hospital.

According to the initial probe, the incident seems to have been caused by old enmity. The vehicle used by the criminals and the weapons left at the scene have been taken into custody, and evidence is being gathered. Police teams have been formed to nab the culprits.

The police are also investigating how the criminals managed to get weapons through such a high-security zone.
