Nawaz Sharif will return in October: Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has declared the anticipated date for the return of the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan.

“We engaged in discussions with the top echelons of our party, and in accordance with our deliberations, our leader, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, is set to make his return to Pakistan in October,” he told the press in London.

Nawaz Sharif stood alongside Shehbaz during the announcement.

Shehbaz refrained from providing a specific date for Nawaz’s return. Nonetheless, according to sources cited by Geo News, the elder Sharif is anticipated to arrive on October 15.

Speaking to the media in London, Shahbaz Sharif explained that the verdict in the Avenfield case against Nawaz Sharif was based on ill-intention.

During the media interaction, Shahbaz Sharif highlighted the enduring presence of Nawaz Sharif’s name in the Panama Papers case, asserting that his name was implicated through a conspiracy.

Shahbaz Sharif also touched upon the political landscape, stating that the assembly had been run in accordance with the spirit of the constitution. He mentioned that the Chief Election Commissioner has the responsibility to conduct elections as mandated by the constitution.
