The M-4 motorway has been closed for traffic from Pindi Bahttian to Faisalabad, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP).
The M-3 motorway was similarly closed for traffic from Faizpur to Samundri.
Meanwhile in Lahore, the entry of large vehicles onto the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2) has been restricted. The decision aims to mitigate the risks associated with heavy traffic in low visibility.
The Lahore-Sialkot motorway (M-11) has also been closed to traffic due to the persistent fog, which has enveloped the region, making it difficult for drivers to navigate safely.
The impact of fog is not limited to the motorways alone. In Muridke and its surrounding areas, visibility plummeted, leading to huge disruptions on the GT road.
