Trigger warning: minor girl raped in F-9 park

ISLAMABAD: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Islamabad’s F-9 park by an acquaintance, according to the girl’s mother.

According to the statement registered by the victim’s mother with the police on March 16, her daughter went to her friend’s house.

“She came home crying when I inquired from her she said that her friend’s brother took her to F-9 park on his motorcycle and raped her”, the victim’s mother said in the police report.

Margalla Police station has registered a case on the complaint of the girl’s mother and started investigations.

F-9 Park has become a no-go zone for citizens with criminals roaming around to abuse and rob women and men who come to walk at gunpoint.

According to police records, a total of 37 incidents have been reported in the last one year, including the rape of six girls and women and the murder of the manager of a private food delivery company.
