Lt Col among four martyred in operation against terrorist in Tirah: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: At least four soldiers including a lieutenant colonel were martyred in the Tirah area of the Khyber district on Monday.

According to a statement released by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Tirah area of the Khyber district about the presence of terrorists.

During the operation lead by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, terrorist hideout was effectively searched, resulting in three terrorists being killed, while three were injured according to ISPR.

In the intense exchange of firing, four brave sons of the soil embraced martyrdom while fighting valiantly, the ISPR said.

The search operation in the area is ongoing to eliminate any possible remaining terrorists, ISPR

The security forces of Pakistan are determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country, ISPR said.
