LAHORE: Hot and dry weather is predicted across the country while the temperature in Lahore is expected to rise to 42 degrees Celsius today (Wednesday).
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the minimum temperature of the city may go up to 26 and the maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, while there is no chance of rain in the city for the next one week.
According to PMD, the wind speed in the city has been recorded at five km per hour, while the humidity in the air has been recorded at 60 per cent.
On the other hand, in terms of pollution, Lahore is still at the second place in the world, the average rate of smog in the city of Lahore has been recorded at 182.
Countrywide heatwave predicted, with gradual temperature rise in South
Chief Meteorologist Shahid Abbas has said that the temperature in the city these days may exceed 43 degrees Celsius, so citizens should be careful and not leave their homes unnecessarily.
Medical experts have emphasized the importance of staying hydrated, covering one’s head in the afternoon and using water abundantly to prevent dehydration and heat-related illnesses.
With the heatwave expected to grip the city, residents are urged to prioritize their health and well-being by avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun and seeking shade whenever possible.
However, rain and wind with thunderstorm is likely at isolated places in central districts of Balochistan during evening and night.
