KP schools declare winter break

PESHAWAR: In a recent directive from the Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government schools in the region are set to observe winter vacations.

The announcement specifies that schools in the plains will be closed from December 23 to 31.

Additionally, educational institutions in the winter zone are scheduled to remain closed for an extended period, spanning from December 23 to February 29.

Also, schools located in the cold mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will have two and a half months of winter vacation.

Winters in the mountainous regions of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are extremely severe from December to February and temperature drops below freezing point.

This decision aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students during the winter season.
