KP govt all set to send 500,000 skilled workers abroad


PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Justice (retd) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah leads the charge as the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa caretaker provincial government unveils an ambitious plan to send 500,000 skilled workers overseas. With a strategic emphasis on bolstering technical education, the program aims to equip individuals with the essential skills needed for thriving in international markets.

The comprehensive initiative extends beyond workforce development, encompassing a spectrum of measures dedicated to enhancing the well-being and prosperity of the province’s residents. Chief Minister Shah shared this vision during his visit to the Peshawar Press Club, where he inaugurated a cutting-edge 25 KV solar system. This eco-friendly installation, executed at a cost of Rs6.4 million, anticipates annual savings of up to Rs2 million in electricity expenses.

Joining Chief Minister Shah at the inauguration were key figures including K-P Caretaker Provincial Minister for Information Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel, Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, Information Secretary Abdul Jabbar Shah, and Information & PRs Director General Muhammad Imran.

The ceremony served as a platform for Chief Minister Shah to underscore the imperative of enhanced governance aligned with principles of efficient public service delivery. He reaffirmed the caretaker government’s commitment to addressing a myriad of public concerns, ranging from drug-related issues to street crimes, adulteration, hoarding, price hikes, traffic problems, encroachments, and revenue matters.
