KP governor approves summary of new interim cabinet

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor has approved a summary of the new caretaker cabinet, consisting of eight ministers, two advisers, and one special assistant.

The caretaker members include Syed Masud Shah, Justice (retd) Irshad Qaiser, Ahmed Rasood Bangash, Asif Rafique, Dr Najeeb Ullah, Dr Muhammad Qasim Jan, Justice (retd) Arshad Hussain Shah, and Syed Aamir Abdullah.

For the slot of caretaker advisers to the chief minister, Dr Riaz Anwar and Dr Sarfraz Ali Shah have been selected, as confirmed by sources in the Governor’s House.

According to the sources, Zafarullah Khan will serve as the special assistant to the chief minister.

According to sources, the oath taking ceremony of the caretaker provincial cabinet will take place in the Governor’s House on Saturday (tomorrow”. KP Governor Ghulam Ali will administer the oath to the non-elected cabinet.
