PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, has approved an Eid package aimed at aiding deserving individuals.

The decision, made during a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Gandapur, entails the allocation of Rs 1.150 billion for the initiative.

As per the approved plan, Rs. 10,000 will be disbursed to 1,000 deserving individuals in each provincial constituency, totaling an assistance of more than Rs. 1 billion.

Furthermore, an Eid package of Rs. 10,000 has been sanctioned for the families of over 2,000 police martyrs.

Moreover, the cabinet has also given the nod to the Annual Development Programme (ADP) scheme, allocating funds amounting to Rs. 7.67 billion for the procurement of vehicles and modern equipment for the police force in the merged districts.

In a significant move, the cabinet has formed a committee to address concerns regarding the procurement of screening tests from private testing agencies for recruitment purposes.

Additionally, during the meeting, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet endorsed the Digital Right of Way Policy, marking a progressive step towards digital infrastructure development in the province.
