Karachi mob kills suspected robber

KARACHI: An angry mob in Karachi’s Korangi area on Monday, confronted suspected robbers, beating them severely, which resulted in the death of one of the suspects.

They both were shifted to the hospital and one of the suspects, Hafeezullah, died during treatment. The other suspect, Mohammed Aqeel, was injured but is in stable condition.

The police arrived at the scene and took the suspects to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. They also recovered two 30-bore pistols, one snatched cell phone, and a motorcycle from the suspects.

Two individuals were in the process of robbing pedestrians on Ghous Pak Road in Sector 50-D, Korangi-4 when local residents gathered in response and successfully subdued the suspects.

The police are investigating the incident.
