Following these talks, JI proposed a collaborative approach to navigate the evolving political landscape. Baloch highlighted the importance of addressing concerns regarding the electoral process, emphasising the need for safeguarding democracy against manipulation and ensuring respect for the public mandate.
However, despite initial discussions indicating a willingness for cooperation, PTI’s revised stance, limiting collaboration to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, prompted JI to reconsider its position.
On the other hand, PTI leader Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that alliance with JI would be of no use as the party did not have any representation in the provincial assembly.
