Imran Khan, others acquitted in Aabpara police station case

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Session Court on Wednesday acquitted founder Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and other PTI members in a case related to protests against the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision to disqualify former prime minister Imran Khan.

The court headed by Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mehmood announced its reserved verdict on the acquittal pleas in the cases filed at Aabpara Police Station against former PTI Chairman and other leaders.

The court has acquitted former PTI Chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and Sheikh Rashid from the case.

Additionally, the court has also acquitted Asad Qaiser, Faisal Javed, Shehryar Afridi, and Khurram Nawaz from the charges.
