IHC promotes five senior civil judges

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has announced the promotion of five senior civil judges to the positions of Additional District and Sessions Judges.

This promotion comes following the approval of the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court.

Among those promoted is Judge Qudratullah, notable for sentencing the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the high-profile nikkah before iddat case.

The other judges elevated to their new roles are Senior Civil Judges Aamir Aziz, Nasar Minallah, Muhammad Shabbir, and Mujahid Rahim.

The promotions were formally confirmed through a notification issued by the Registrar Office of the IHC. The advancement of these judges underscores the court’s commitment to recognising and rewarding judicial competence.
