RAWALPINDI: Security forces foiled an attempt to attack a check-post in North Waziristan, killing seven of the attackers, said the ISPR, as the Khawarij sponsored by India continue spreading terrorism in Pakistan.
The terrorists were killed during the gunfight that ensued because of the attack in the Shawal area, during which four soldiers also sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
Lt Danial Ismail, Naib Subedar Kashif Raza, Lance Naik Fiaqat Ali and Sepoy Muhammad Hameed are the martyred soldiers, says the ISPR (Inter Services Public Relations).
According to the ISPR, a clearance operation is underway in the area to eliminate or capture the terrorists.
The military’s media wing made it clear that the security forces were determined to fight against the anti-state elements. The sacrifice given by the martyred soldiers were only strengthening the nation’s resolve in the fight against terrorists, it added.
Promising to root out the terrorism promoted by India, the ISPR said the security forces would fight against the Khawarij until their complete elimination.
Also on Thursday, the military’s media wing had earlier reported that they eliminated five terrorists in separate operations in Balochistan.
ULTIAMTE SACRIFICE
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, reacting to the news, lauded the martyred soldiers for their ultimate sacrifice, saying they had thwarted the plans of terrorists backed by India.
Their sacrifices would not go in vain, he remarked and added that the nation was going to remember them forever.
The latest attack on security forces in North Waziristan comes, as India continue supporting the terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
At the same time, Afghanistan has failed to control the terrorists operating from the Afghan territory against Pakistan, which have repeated urged the Afghan Taliban ruling Kabul to act against the elements that are proving a great threat to regional security.
The United Nations has mentioned in multiple reports that Afghanistan became a centre for global terrorists ever since the Afghan Taliban took over Kabul in August 2021. On the other hand, the then government led by now incarcerated Imran Khan decided to relocate the terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – a move that has produced devastating consequences for Pakistan.
