The ECP rejected Sharif’s petition which urged the commission to stop issuing the notification of the constituency’s result. The PML-N supremo had lost the seat against PTI backed independent candidate Shahzada Gastasip.

The Election Commission, after rejecting the request of PML-N Quaid’s counsel who came late to the proceedings, directed him to submit the application afresh.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-backed independent candidate Shahzada Muhammad Gushtasip Khan defeated Nawaz to clinch victory in the aforementioned constituency.
