DSP, gunman martyred in Lakki Marwat ambush

LAKKI MARWAT: Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) and his gunman have been martyred in an ambush in Lakki Marwat late Friday night.

As per details, DSP Headquarters Gul Muhammad Khan and his gunman Naseem Gul were on their routine patrolling when some unidentified assailants opened fire on his police van due to which Gul Khan and his gunman were critically wounded.

They were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Norang where both of them expired during treatment.

A heavy contingent of police reached the spot after the incident and cordoned off the whole area.

The police have also launched a search operation in the area to arrest the culprits.
