Court summons Asif Zardari in Park Lane case

ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) in Islamabad on Thursday summoned former president Asif Ali Zardari and 18 other suspects in Park Lane reference on December 20, 2023.

AC judge Muhammad Bashir heard the case.

Speaking on the occasion, counsel for the defendant Arshad Tabrez said that when the agreement had been signed, Zardari was not Park Lane’s director.

The judge said that for now he would issue notices. “You are asked to give arguments on the next hearing,” he said while addressing Tabrez.

Other suspects in the case include Muhammad Iqbal, Younus Qidwai, Iqbal Khan Noori, Hussain Lawai, Abdul Ghani Majeed, Khawaja Anwar Majeed and M. Farooq Abdullah. – INP
