ISLAMABAD: The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zedong, held a significant meeting with the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, emphasising the strong and enduring friendship between the two nations.

During their meeting, Prime Minister Kakar expressed his gratitude to the Chinese President and leadership for the warm reception he received during his visit to China. He also affirmed his commitment to taking robust measures to implement the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements between the two countries.

Prime Minister Kakar highlighted the importance of these agreements, stating that they would contribute to a new chapter in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He lauded China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) as a guarantor of development and prosperity for the entire region.

Kakar further emphasised the deep-rooted friendship between China and Pakistan, likening it to being “higher than the towering mountains and deeper than the deep seas.” He also pointed out that the people of both countries were reaping the benefits of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

In response, the Chinese Ambassador assured the Prime Minister of China’s unwavering support and cooperation in promoting Pakistan’s development and economic stability. The meeting underscored the strong ties between the two nations and their commitment to furthering cooperation and friendship in various sectors.
