Chances of thunderstorm in Islamabad, upper Punjab today

ISLAMABAD: Partly cloudy weather conditions with chances of rain coupled with gusty winds and thunderstorm are expected at few places in upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir today (Saturday), according to the Department of Meteorology.

According to the met office, partial cloudy skies are anticipated in Islamabad and its environs, coupled with gusty winds and the likelihood of thundershowers. Similarly, several upper districts of Punjab, including Murree, Galiat, Rawalpindi, and others, are expected to experience wind, squalls, and isolated thunderstorms.

While central and southern districts of Punjab may brace for hot and humid weather, most parts of Balochistan and Sindh are projected to remain dry and sweltering. However, Upper Sindh could witness windy and humid conditions.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, cloudy skies prevail, with the possibility of gusty winds and thunderstorms in districts such as Dera Ismail Khan, Peshawar, and Swat among others.

The forecast extends to Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, where partly cloudy conditions are anticipated alongside strong winds and isolated thundershowers in certain areas.
