Case registered against PTI Chairman and Shah Mahmood Qureshi under Official Secrets Act


LAHORE: The counter-terrorism wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) registered a case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and  Vice Chairman (VC) Shah Mehmood Qureshi under the Official Secrets Act, in a case pertaining to a diplomatic cypher.

The case has been filed based on the complaint of former Secretary Ministry of Interior Secretary Yousaf Naseem Khokhar.  According to the details, the case against PTI chairman Qureshi was registered on August 15.

The complaint has said that the PTI chairman and Shah Mahmood Qureshi have compromised on national security by disclosing classified documents.

Earlier today, Qureshi was arrested by police from his residence in Islamabad.
