Brazilian admiral met Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Admiral Andre Luiz Silva Lima De Santana Mendes, representing the Brazilian Navy, engaged in discussions today with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Tuesday.
In a press release, the ISPR announced that the two military leaders deliberated on strengthening collaboration in maritime security and defense during their meeting.

“Matters of bilateral interests including maritime security, emerging security environment and enhancement of security and defence cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the meeting,” the ISPR stated.
During the meeting held at Joint Staff Headquarters, both parties highlighted mutual interests and strategies to bolster security amidst evolving global challenges.

Admiral Mendes acknowledged Pakistan’s significant contributions and sacrifices in the global fight against terrorism, lauding the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces.
“The visiting dignitary commended the professionalism of Pakistan armed forces and acknowledged the sacrifices of Pakistan and Pakistan armed forces in the war against terrorism.”
When Admiral Mendes arrived at Joint Staff Headquarters, a group from all three services welcomed him with a formal ceremony, showing Pakistan’s hospitality.

The press release ended with “Earlier, upon arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent presented ‘Guard of Honour’ to the visiting dignitary.”
