Blast in Bannu injures three security personnel

BANNU: Three security personnel were injured in a hand grenade attack by unknown suspects near Basia Khel Police Station area of Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a police official, the injured personnel were promptly transferred to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.

Following the incident, the police swiftly responded to the scene, cordoning off the area as they launched a search operation to apprehend the culprits responsible for the attack.

Mortar Attack in Quetta

In a separate incident in Quetta, a mortar shell was fired at a security checkpoint near Spin Karez area.

According to the police, a joint checkpoint operated by police and Frontier Corps (FC) was targeted by the terrorists. The terrorists launched a mortar shell that detonated at some distance away from the checkpoint in an open area.

Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the mortar attack, the terrorists unleashed a round of gunfire , however, no damage has been reported.

The mortar attack incident remains subject to ongoing investigation.
